Haiya promises big for Bullets

Newly-appointed Nyasa Big Bullets interim vice-president Fleetwood Haiya has promised to enhance the club’s brand on the continent.

Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club board on Friday appointed the club’s former chief executive, his appointment is effective March 1 2021.

Haiya: It’s really a great honour

Reads a statement in part: “We congratulate Mr. Haiya as he assumes the more challenging responsibility in the board.

“Mr. Haiya also serves as the managing director of Nyasa Manufacturing Company Limited, a company which owns the club. He also served previously as the club’s chief executive officer.”

Haiya has since promised to promote the image of the club and market it to greater heights.

“It’s an honour to be appointed interim vice-president of the Nyasa Big Bullets brand and I would like to thank the board of directors for entrusting me with such a post. I promise to continue protecting the ethos, mission and vision of the club. I promise to disassociate the club from violence and any other activity that can ruin or destroy the reputation of the club,” he said.

Haiya has since called for support from all stakeholders.

“I ask for the support from fans, the board and all stakeholders as I take up this role. It’s really a great honour,” he said.

The TNM Super League defending champions are currently eighth on  the 16-team log table.

They have12 points, six adrift of leaders Silver Strikers.
