President of the Republic of Malawi, I would not challenge my critics to investigate me if they suspect that I am amassing wealth from the public purse.
Instead, I would make an initiative to declare my assets on my own other than being forced.
If only I were my good ole mum JB, I also would not refuse to declare my assets again on the basis that I already undertook the exercise when I took oath as Vice-President in 2009.
Surely I would appreciate that a good four years have passed since I last undertook the exercise and a lot of things might have happened along the way, including accumulation of more wealth and therefore it would be for my own good if I set about the exercise again.
If only I were madam President, I would also realise that if I stick to my guns, I will be sending a wrong impression to the public that I am hiding something.
That is if I were my good mum that is JB, unfortunately I am not her. I am just a mere scribe that is Garry Chirwa .
