Lilongwe love unites music, arts and football
Lingadzi Academy has organised Lilongwe Love, Music and Arts Festival, a free event which will feature football on November 23 which has been designed to show love for the city of Lilongwe and the fantastic artists and sportspeople that reside in the city.
The event has attracted a number of artists including songstress Tigriss who will also share the stage with groups such as Malawi Mouse Boys, Music Crossroads and Tilinanu Orphanage.
The event will kick start with the opening of a public library by the National Library and poetry will dominate the inauguration of the new library opening function
In a very rare combination the event will be followed by football games. The football matches will kick off at 11am with a game between Likuni Boys Academy and Lingadzi Academy.
Lingadzi Academy is in Mtandire in the west of Lilongwe. Take the road between ABC and the new stadium to ‘Spearhead’ where you can find bicycle taxis. Ample parking is available on site.
