This will be the first time for the movie, which is not being accessed using any outlet apart from the screenings, to be shown  to audiences in the capital city after similar sessions were held in Blantyre over a month ago.

Joyah said he expects improved audiences and reception in Lilongwe, bearing in mind that people the capital city are good at patronising events of this nature.

“The idea of making a film is that it should be watched. It is also important that Malawians should be given the opportunity to sample their own artistic works,” he said.

He commended the reception the movie has received so far, with many people expressing their satisfaction with the way the cast in the movie performed. He said from Lilongwe the film will be screened in Zomba and Mzuzu at dates to be communicated.

Joyah entered into a partnership with Multichoice Malawi who are helping him with the screening sessions.

Multichoice Malawi general manager Gus Banda said during the announcement of their partnership that it is the company’s wish to create an environment where local creatives are able to increase the accessibility and marketability of their work.
