Medical insurer sponsors physician indaba

Medical insurer Precious Medical International (PMI) has donated K1 million to the Physician Assistants Union of Malawi (Paum) towards its annual conference slated for tomorrow in Lilongwe.

In a statement, PMI said of the donated value, K500 000 has been given to the association in cash while the other K500 000 will be offered through professional wellness services presentation at the summit.

PMI chief executive officer Gertrude Mateyo said the sponsorship represents their commitment towards universal access to quality healthcare and Malawi’s 2063 agenda.

She said: “We are thrilled to partner with Paum in their quest to improve healthcare services and medical knowledge in our nation.

“This sponsorship aligns perfectly with our core values and long-standing commitment to providing affordable quality healthcare.”

On his part, Paum president Solomon Chomba thanked PMI for the donation, which he said will further expand their reach as they seek to improve healthcare services.

Precious Medical International is a Malawian medical Insurance priding itself for wellness programmes and all-inclusive schemes with no shortfalls for essential and emergency treatment.
