Miracle Chinga is a shining example of resilience and talent.

She is a young female gospel artist who has carved out her own space in the music industry while honouring her late mother Grace Chinga’s legacy.

From a tender age, Miracle’s voice has been a beacon of hope and inspiration, captivating audiences and staying relevant in a constantly evolving musical landscape.

Her journey to stardom began after the loss of her mother, a gospel icon whose music touched many lives.

Despite stepping into such monumental shoes, Miracle’s passion and dedication have propelled her to new heights.

She has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the gospel music scene.

In 2024, Miracle’s hard work and unwavering commitment to her craft were recognised when she was honoured with two prestigious awards; MBC Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year and MBC Entertainer of Entertainers of the Year.

Notably, she also won the 2023 MBC Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year Award, cementing her place as one of the leading voices in Malawi’s gospel music scene.

These accolades are a testament of her remarkable journey and the impact of her music which continues to inspire and uplift audiences across the nation.

“Winning those awards was an incredible honour. It validated my hard work and dedication to my craft.

“These achievements reflect my growth as an artist, showcasing my ability to connect with audiences and create meaningful music,” she shared.

Born on September 13 1998 and raised in a Christian family, music has always been an integral part of Miracle’s life.

She grew up singing in church choirs and later pursued music professionally.

I’ve been blessed to share my talent with the world,” she said.

The award-winning artist is passionate about spreading messages of hope and inspiration through her music.

As she grew older, her passion for gospel music grew too.

For Miracle, music is more than just a career—it’s her calling.

She believes music has the power to transform lives.

The artist feels blessed to be part of that process, saying that choosing music as a full-time career was a leap of faith, but it has been an incredible journey.

Miracle credits her late mother’s legacy for inspiring her to pursue gospel music.

She reflected, “Growing up, I watched my mother share her gift with the world and it instilled in me a deep passion for gospel music.”

Her influence has guided her own music journey and she strives to make her proud.

She added, “Losing my mother was a tremendous loss, but it also fuelled my determination to carry on her legacy. Stepping into the music industry was intimidating, but I knew I had to stay true to myself and my music.”

One of her biggest challenges was finding her unique voice while honouring her mother’s memory.

Miracle’s breakthrough came with her song Hosanna which she says was inspired by her personal experience of overcoming adversity.

The song resonated with many listeners and marked the beginning of her music career.

Her most recent hit Thamanga, released last year, is a song of hope.

“It encourages people to work hard and believe in themselves. I was inspired by people’s stories who have faced e challenges, yet still hold onto faith,” she said.

Her faith is the foundation of my music and career.

“It guides my creative process, inspires my lyrics, and motivates me to share my gift with others,”she said.

Her songwriting process usually begins with a message or theme she wants to convey.

Miracle then works with her producer Dj Lobodo of Alobodo Records to craft a melody and rhythm that complements the message.

Her video director Twice P creates content.

She has dealt with self-doubt and criticism which she overcame by focusing on her passion for music and surrounding herself with supportive people.

“I prioritise positive engagement with my fans and avoid responding to hurtful comments,” she shared.

She also says her biggest support system has been her family, friends, and management team.

Miracle is also well known for her interaction on social media platforms.

She connects with her fans through social media, live performances, and meet-and-greets.

“The feedback that touches me the most is when people share how my music has inspired them or helped them through a difficult time.”

Miracle has one album titled Kumwamba Mkodabwitsa released years ago. I’m excited to share that I’m working on a new album, featuring collaborations with different artists,”she shared.

She said that as a female artist in Malawi, she has also faced challenges such as gender bias, limited opportunities and societal expectations.

However, she has persevered, using her music as a platform to empower and inspire women.

“Some people associate female artists with bad behaviour, but to young girls who would want to be like me, I encourage their parents to guide them,” said the singer.

She emphasizes the importance of teaching them values and morals, providing guidance and offering unwavering support.

“Help them understand the importance of hard work, integrity, and staying true to themselves,” she advises.

When Miracle isn’t performing music, she wears many hats.

She is an MC for various events such as weddings and birthday parties.

Additionally, she is a full-time entrepreneur, managing her business and her brand, Miraculous Products.

Beyond that, she is also a designer and proudly shares that she creates the costumes for her music videos.

Miracle is also a makeup artist and runs a cosmetics business.

“Business is a venture that allows me to express my creativity and provide value to my community,” she explains.

She encourages women not to look down on themselves but to work hard and explore various business opportunities to earn a living.
