He said: “As a hospital, Icam members are regarded as our clients and it is our responsibility to ensure that we provide them with the necessary support to enhance their well-being as they carry out their respective responsibilities.

“This year, we are bringing the hospital to the conference to ensure that delegates receive the necessary healthcare services they may require. We sometimes discover that some delegates are facing health issues such as high blood pressure and high blood sugar levels, necessitating immediate medical attention from skilled medical staff.”

Icam chief executive officer Noel Zigowa said this year’s lakeshore conference will be held under the theme ‘Creating value, building a sustainable economy towards Malawi 2063’.

He said: “During the event, we will have more than 1 200 delegates and the figure is increasing compared with last year.

“We play a role in the country by providing our members with essential skills, overseeing the accounting profession and ensuring that our members consistently contribute value to their respective organisations.”

The conference is slated for September 14 to 16 2023 at Sun ‘N’ Sand Holiday Resort in Mangochi.
