Ndirande New Living Gospel Church Women’s Choir last Sunday apologised to people who witnessed the launch of its album for coming late for the show.

The group was launching the album, Chikondi Chanu, at Robins Park in Blantyre.

Treasurer of the choir Pastor Treesah Gunde said the group’s fans deserve the apology for being made to wait before the show began.

“The equipment let us down, especially those who were doing the mixing. It seemed they were not prepared. We had problems with the equipment, but we hope in our next programme we will do better.

“We apologise to those that patronised the launch. We had good patronage, but the equipment let us down,” said Gunde.

Secretary of the group, Rose Banda, thanked people who turned up for the show such as Cabinet ministers Sidik Mia and Eunice Makangala who bought the first copies of the album at K100 000 (about $238) and K50 000 (about $119), respectively.

Banda also thanked guest artists who, she said, did a wonderful work.

Some of the guest artists were Grace Chinga, Ndirande Anglican Voices, Llyod Phiri and Happiness Voices as well as Prophets of Vision.
