NPM mid-year awards 2025 voting begins

The country’s leading business and entrepreneurship Magazine, National Product Magazine (NPM), has announced the commencement of voting for nominated companies for the 2025 Mid-Year Awards and its 115th edition celebrations.

Voting for nominees is officially open from today, April 2, and will run until June 15, 2025.

This year’s awards are themed “Connecting Industries, Fueling Exports: Enhancing Malawi’s Forex Reserves through Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Transport.”

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, the magazine’s Executive Director, Arthur Chinyamula, stated that the awards focus on recognizing outstanding companies in business, agriculture, transport, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.

“We have nominated companies across business, agriculture, transport, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship sectors. Our goal is to promote industries and Malawians excelling in these fields,” said Chinyamula.

He emphasized that for the country to achieve stable forex reserves, collaboration among various sectors is essential. “That is why the National Product Magazine’s 115th edition and its awards celebration are highlighting the critical roles of agriculture and transport in the manufacturing sector.”

He further explained, “Our nominations encompass companies in transport, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. The voting process will begin tonight and run for 75 days. The awards ceremony and the 115th edition celebrations are scheduled for June 14, 2025. We have finalized nominations early to allow winners ample time to showcase their products and services, deliver business presentations, and prepare adequately, especially those coming from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and individual entrepreneurs.”

Chinyamula also noted that special categories have been designated for women in business. “We have conducted a rigorous selection process to identify companies, businesses, products, and entrepreneurs based on their specialization, size, quality, performance, and export records.”

He revealed that 70% of the nominated companies are from Malawi, while 30% represent the SADC region.

“Let’s embrace this voting opportunity to ensure that the best are recognized.”

NPM has received widespread praise for its efforts in promoting local manufacturers and businesses.

Voting is set to commence at 6:00 PM , and participants can cast their votes via the following link: https://productmagmw.com/vote/.
