PIS table tennis finals tomorrow
Table Tennis Presidential Initiative on Sports (PIS) finals will take placetomorrow at Kamuzu Institute for Sports in Lilongwe. PIS table tennis communications officer Charles Kasenda said the finals are expected to produce fireworks as the county’s top players will participate in all four categories.
“We have boys’ and girls’ senior and junior categories. The finals will bring together the most successful players from the North, Centre and the South,” he said.
Eight teams have confirmed their participation in Sports Bonanza scheduled for this Sunday at L’s Burg Sports and Leisure Centre in Lilongwe. Bunda College, Kamuzu Barracks, Blue Eagles, Prison, Smashers, Spikes, Calvary and L’s Burg will register volleyball, darts and pool teams for the day long sports bonanza.
L’s Burg managing director Tagonjetsa Chiwaya said they decided to stage another bonanza after the success of the inaugural tournament which Kamuzu Barracks won three weeks ago. “We were very impressed with the whole competition and patronage was very good. All the teams were very competitive and the patrons had a great time,” said Chiwaya.
