Saved by the Ball (SBB), an organisation that promotes tennis in the Northern Region, has secured K650 000 sponsorship from Farmers World.
SBB director Owen Mfune confirmed the development. He thanked the company for its generosity, saying it will go a long way to uplift tennis and also keep youths in the region away from dangerous behaviours.
Northern Region Farmers World administration manager Karlijn den Hollander asked SBB to use the money prudently for the intended purpose if they are to continue enjoying the sponsorship.
One of the table tennis stars, Malani Chipeta, called on fellow youths to take advantage of the kind gesture to improve their skills.
