Hip-hop gospel artist Suffix has collaborated with South Africa-based musician Onesimus on his new single Ngati Dolo.

The song, which premiered on MBC 2FM’s Made on Monday programme, is the second single for his upcoming album To Who It May Concern.

In the song, the two urban artists pour out their appreciation to God for being their guider and protector in what they do.

Working together: Onesmus (L) and Suffix

Suffix said in an interview: “Before recording I was on the phone with Onesimus and I was just sharing how we sometimes take things for granted such as driving to our destinations and back without being involved in an accident. It is God that sustains our lives in many ways.”

The song is a combination of two producers. Praise Umali recorded Suffix at Manifest Studios here in Malawi while Onesimus had his lines recorded by his South African producer DJ Megi, who also did the final mixing.

Suffix is set to drop his second studio album on August 27, a follow up to his debut Before I Sleep which came out in 2018. The artist said work on the album is progressing well.

The two artists have previously collaborated on several projects, the last one being on the song I Go Hard which came out in 2012.

Onesimus was all praises for their growing artistic bond: “We have come to understand each other better as artists. We know where to take the beat and in this instance the flow just comes out naturally.”
