Super League sponsors TNM finally dressed the league’s 15 teams on Monday, just in time as the action returns this weekend.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) general secretary Williams Banda on Tuesday confirmed that TNM also distributed Puma sheen pads, training bips and goalkeeper gloves. Each team received two sets of 23 uniforms.

“They distributed the uniform from their [TNM] Limbe warehouse but for further details, the sponsors will communicate. Referees also received their uniform,” said Banda.

Traditionally, the uniform is distributed before the start of a season, but the sponsors attributed the delay to logistical problems.

Big Bullets general secretary Higger Mkandawire showed The Nation two sets of white and red uniform for home and away games. The Nation had bumped into him.

Meanwhile, the league action resumes this weekend.

On Saturday, Kamuzu Barracks hosts Big Bullets at Dedza Stadium, Epac FC entertain Blantyre United whereas Mponela United travel to Blue Eagles.

But there is uncertainty on the Sunday matches. Evirom face Red Lions who also have a Presidential Cup fixture to fulfil while Mafco’s clash with Blantyre United is also subject to the cup games’ results, according to Banda.
