South Africa Premier Soccer League side AmaZulu are mum on Malawian striker Gabadihno Mhango’s prospect of getting a run in tomorrow’s warm-up match against English giants Manchester City in Durban.

Mhango’s manager Michael Makaab simply said he was unsure of the player who returned on Friday from a pre-season with AmaZulu in Namibia. He concludes the trials on July 31 2013.

If the Big Bullets boy features in the Nelson Mandela Invitational game, he could follow compatriot Atusaye Nyondo who played for 29 minutes on Saturday when his SuperSport United beat the visitors 2-0 through Mame Niang and Kermit Erasmus.

It was Manuel Pellegrini’s first game in charge of City at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria where the Senegalese Niang had replaced Nyondo.

City’s Edzin Dzeko had a chance denied by Ronwen Williams midway through the first-half, and there was a late effort from Ivorian Yaya Toure to salvage a goal.

Pellegrini gave a club debut to new signing Brazilian Fernandinho in a match where none of their stars looked a threat to the determined and more cohesive United outfit.
