Chipiku Stores Central Region Football Association (CRFA) champions Mafco FC on Tuesday were held to a one-all draw by Dedza Dynamos in their last game of the season at Salima Community ground.

Kingsley Nkhonjera scored in added time from a direct free-kick to salvage a point and escape defeat.

Dynamos, who have finished on fourth position, took the lead in the 60th minute through Steven Tenobia.

Mafco have finished with 103 points from 40 games and assistant coach Yohane Fulaye described the result as fair.

“It is not a good result, we wanted to bid farewell to Chipiku League with a win. We planned well only that the ground was wet and we failed to play our game,” he said.

Dynamos coach Robert Mzinza had no kind words for the referee.

“The goal was scored outside added time which is bad. The referee has influenced this result, but I am impressed with how the boys played,” he said.

On Monday, Mafco thrashed Lake Valley 6-0.

Airborne Rangers have finished on position three with 96 points while third-placed Silver Reserve got 87 points.
