Civil match tricky, says Pasuwa

Defending champions FCB Nyasa Bullets coach Kallisto Pasuwa says this afternoon fixture against Civil Service Club is tricky as they face a team that is hungry for victory.

Despite Bullets having dominated matches between the two sides, Pasuwa said the Civil have new players this season, which makes them unpredictable.

He said; “Civil, coming from a defeat last week, will want to put everything in place to bounce back. If we look at them, they have got more players who are new in the team. So we need to have a positive approach in whatever we do for us to avoid any threat posed by a team willing to give it all against us.

“If you have the right sense of mind, the right approach is not to underrate any opposition that comes. But when we are playing games from a winning run and take it into [our] heads saying we are winning, it won’t end well.

“Winning a game requires us to fight for every ball. We need to win duels, and second balls when we are playing away from home. As much as we respect our opponents, we have been playing them and it’s a very good team in terms of how they fare, they build up from the back, but it’s going to be very interesting and we are geared to go. As Bullets, we have our motto whereby any team that comes, we need to go out and put everything.”

Pasuwa has travelled to Lilongwe without some key players who are injured such as Clyde Senaji, Yamikani Fodya, Eric Kaonga and Hassan Kajoke.

As Bullets will be hoping to consolidate the top positon, third-placed Silver Strikers will be away to Dedza Dynamos.

The Bankers coach Pieter de Jongh is suspended but he was confident that even in his absence, they will carry the day under assistant coach Etson Kadenge Mwafulirwa.

He said: “We watched Dedza Dynamos playing at Nankhaka last week, I think they are a good side and they play good football unfortunately we will play at a pitch that is not in a perfect condition. We are prepared for the match regardless
