Civo optimistic of stunning Bullets
Civil Service (Civo) United have a huge task to overturn a first leg two-goal deficit against FCB Nyasa Bullets when they meet this afternoon in the Airtel Top 8 quarter-final second leg at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Stanley Billiati and Chawanangwa Gumbo’s goals at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre gave the People’s Team a spring in their step.

But in a pre-match interview on Friday the Civil Servants’ assistant coach Wilson Chidati expressed optimism of turning the tables.
He said: “We recovered from the loss in Blantyre and we are not under pressure, anything can happen tomorrow. Bullets scored two goals in the first leg and we can do the same and score even more.
“So, there is no pressure. All the players are available for selection. They are in good shape and we are going into the game with a positive mind.”
Despite going into the game with a two-goal advantage, Bullets coach Kallisto Pasuwa is wary of the fallen capital city giants.
He said: “We played the first half and are going for the second half and we need to be careful on how we approach the match. It’s a game that we can say we are leading 2-0, but football can surprise you. Football can change any minute.
“So, we must be cautious about our approach. Civo give us a torrid time whenever we meet them. They are not a team we can underrate and we are quite aware of this. We do not have to go there and relax. We must work hard to proceed to the next level.
“Football is all about the mind. If we go at Civo with the mentality that we are leading 2-0 and we sit back to defend, we won’t score, and we will end up coming back with a negative result.”
Winners of this match will face either Chitipa United or Kamuzu Barracks in the semis. Chitipa also won the first leg 2-0 at home.
Meanwhile, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers will face Silver Strikers in the other semi-final.
