Clubs given up to Friday to give views on fixtures
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has given clubs up to Friday to express their views on the draft TNM Super League fixtures.
The draft fixtures were released during the league’s governing body’s Annual General Meeting in Lilongwe on Saturday.

Sulom vice-president Ronald Chiwaula, who chaired the meeting, set the cut-off point, urging the clubs to be constructive in their input.
There were mixed views from some teams which The Nation spoke to yesterday.
Newly-promoted Songwe Border United of Karonga said they have no issues with the fixture alignment.
The club’s general secretary Palisha Swira said: “Perhaps as the season goes, we will be learning the ropes as we go, but for now, I think for us it is OK.”
FCB Nyasa Bullets acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said their only concern is the rationale behind travelling to Karonga just to play one game.
“We are digesting on this one, otherwise the rest doesn’t worry us,” he said.
On his part, Mzuzu City Hammers co-owner Gift Mkandawire said the fixture needs some touch-ups in order to balance the home and away ratio.
“The most contentious issue is normally the imbalance of parking home games for certain naturally favoured teams at the end of the season,” he said.
The fixture will see five matches being played on the first day of the league kick-off on April 5, including the launch game between reigning champions Silver Strikers and Mighty Wakawaka Tigers at Silver Stadium.
In other matches, rookies Songwe will play their debut match against FCB Nyasa Bullets away at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, fellow rookies Ekhaya FC travel to Karong District to face Chitipa United.
Mafco FC will host Lilongwe-based fellow Malawi Defence Force side Kamuzu Barracks while Mzuzu City Hammers l face Moyale Barracks in a Mzuzu derby.
The following day, Mighty Wanderers, who finished as runners-up last season, will be away to Karonga United, Blue Eagles mark their return to the top-flight against Creck Sporting Club at home while PremierBet Dedza Dynamos host Civil Service United.
The most sought-after fixture on the domestic scene, which features age-old rivals Wanderers and Bullets is scheduled for May 25.
In other big matches, the Nomads will host the Bankers on April 13, Silver will be at home against Bullets on April 25 when the People’s Team coach Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda will be up against his former side, which he led to the title after 11 years in the wilderness.
Civil Service United and Silver are scheduled to meet on May 24.
