CTS boss urges youth to innovate and monetize ideas

The Managing Director of CTS Courier Services, Jacqueline Bokosi, has encouraged Malawi’s youth to seize available opportunities, be industrious, and embrace innovation rather than waiting for the government to hand them jobs.

Speaking during an interview on Sunday on the City Rhythm Podcast on Sunday, Bokosi emphasised that the future of the country lies in the hands of young people who are willing to think outside the box and build their own ventures.

Bokosi: We must be job creators, not just job seekers

“As young people, we must stop thinking that the government alone will create jobs for everyone. What we need is support for our ideas. We must be job creators, not just job seekers,” she said.

She urged the youth to channel their energy into productive initiatives, explore technology, and tap into the country’s untapped business potential.

“Government’s role is important, but so is ours. Let’s challenge ourselves to innovate and find solutions to problems in our communities. The support will follow,” she added.

Bokosi also called on young people to use social media wisely, encouraging them to market their skills and talents online rather than using the platforms to slander others.

“Social media is a powerful tool. Use it to showcase your work, promote your business, and connect with opportunity, not to attack or bring others down,” she said.

Bokosi further announced that CTS Courier Services will soon carry out several corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to support the less privileged.

She revealed that the company is making plans to donate to Chichiri Prison, vulnerable widows, elderly people, and child-headed households as part of its ongoing commitment to give back to the community.

“We believe in uplifting not just businesses, but communities too. Our upcoming donations are aimed at bringing hope and dignity to those who need it most,” she said.
