Eagles, KB ready for Nomads

Blue Eagles and Kamuzu Barracks have said they are ready to face Mighty Wanderers.

Wanderers are in the capital and will play Eagles at Nankhaka this afternoon and face Kamuzu Barracks in Dedza tomorrow.

The Nomads, who lost to Big Bullets in the Luso TV finals in Lilongwe last Sunday, will want to please their Lilongwe fans.

Although Eagles will be without one of their key players Patrick Masanjala, who is on the verge of signing for an Army team, coach Deklerk Msakakuona is optimistic about a good result.

“We have a lot of midfielders who can play his position,” said Msakakuona.

When the two sides met in the first round, Eagles beat Wanderers 2-1.

KB, who are eyeing the league title, went into camp on Wednesday in Dedza.

“We are taking every game seriously and this assignment is no exception,” said KB team manager Francis Shaba.

Wanderers are, however, upbeat of collecting six points.

“It is when playing away that we produce the best. We enjoy support in Lilongwe as we do in Blantyre,” said Namads’ general secretary David Kanyenda.
