Nyasa Big Bullets have unveiled local dancehall and reggae sensation Eli Njuchi of Gugugu fame as the club’s brand ambassador.

Bullets and the award-winning artist have signed a two-year contract which will see both sides promoting their brands.

Nyasa Big Bullets chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said they opted for Eli Njuchi, real name Chifuniro Steven Magalasi, because of his undisputed talent.

He said: “We believe as an artist with millions of fans, Eli Njuchi will help grow the Bullets brand.”

Chigoga said in an interview on Tuesday the partnership with the artist is reciprocal as Bullets will also help promote the artist.

He said: “Unlike in other cases where the brand ambassador is engaged to mainly help to boost a brand, our agreement goes both ways.

“Eli Njuchi will help grow Nyasa Big Bullets’ market share while the club will help to grow the artist’s music business.”

The artist said he is proud to be associated with the TNM Super League champions, a team he also supports.

Bullets have become the first TNM Super League club to engage an artist as a brand ambassador.

Normally, football players are engaged as brand ambassadors for companies and organisations.

But Bullets are not the only sports brand taking ambassadorship to new level.

Germany sportswear maker Puma recently signed a long-term agreement with Davido, one of Africa’s most successful music artists, as its ambassador on the continent.
