Impakt Events managing director Lucius Banda has announced that Tanzanian singer Harmonize will perform at this year’s festival to be held at Kambiri Beach Resort in Salima.

Speaking at a press conference in Lilongwe on Monday when he unveiled the third international artist for the festival, Banda said SandFest management aims to provide patrons with broad entertainment by attracting both international and local artists.

Coming to Malawi: Harmonize

He said: “The festival has been growing. It has been attracting artists near Malawians. If you have noticed in the past, we used to focus on one huge artist which is different now.

“Today, we are introducing Harmonize from Tanzania. We are making sure that our neighbours are well represented. Besides that, Malawians love songs by Harmonize such as Happy Birthday and Kwa Ngwalu.”

On her part, artists and sponsorship coordinator Wendy Harawa said the 12th edition of SandFest is a huge event that no one should miss.

She said: “Malawians should expect fireworks as there is yet another big artist from South Africa that is yet to be unveiled.

“Harmonize can’t wait to come to Malawi and he will soon send a video telling Malawians how excited he is to finally come and perform.” SandFest management team already revealed Zambian artist Yo Maps and Ugandan artist Lily Kadima as some of the international artists to also perform at the three-day festival which will run from September 30 to October 2.
