Lilongwe gets a taste of Blantyre Summer Party with Namadingo
Lilongwe music lovers on Friday got a taste of the Blantyre Summer Party (BSP) at a pop-up event at Khichini Hub in City Centre.
It was a unique moment again for Blantyre-based musician Namadingo’s fans that turned out in numbers.

“It’s always a good time when Namadingo performs in Lilongwe and I wouldn’t miss the fun,” said Elizabeth Banda, before the show.
Doors opened at 6pm though the main act was scheduled for 10pm.
During the first few hours after the doors opened, DJs took turns entertaining patrons.
First on the decks was DJ Madball then DJ Slow Mo before Mighty Virus finalised the DJ sets.
At 10pm, Namadingo showed up clad in his trademark white shirt with sleeves folded to the elbow and a pair of black trousers, opening the show with one of his hit track Nge as fans cheered.
For one hour and 30 minutes the fans sang along to all the hits that Namadingo delivered.
He performed songs such as Dziko, Maury, Pefekiti, Mapulani, Mmapemphero, Sakaka, Wazgolenge and Tikamadzapita.
Namadingo made sure he did not leave the set without performing his latest hit Tuli which is still making waves four months after its release.
Tuli marked the end of the performance and fans, even though they did not want to leave, left the venue after a memorable time.
In a post-show interview, Five79 event manager Golden Kumwenda said they wanted Namadingo to perform so people can see how serious the main BSP event in Blantyre will be.
