Pastor plans party for orphans on birthday

Leader of the Ladders to Heaven Church in Blantyre Prophet Biston Macheso is set to celebrate his 40th birth on December 24 2013 with a memorable party where orphans and the elderly are expected to be guests of honour.

Macheso said he has organised special and delicious meals for the day.

“I am expecting 50 orphans and 50 elderly persons who are going to dine with me during this special day. I felt the best way I can celebrate my birthday this year is by gathering around a meal with the poor in our societies to give them hope that Jesus cares for them,” he said.

The prophet disclosed that he is mobilising resources for the party, which is tentatively estimated at K400 000.

Macheso said the church will complement his charity through distribution of assorted items to different health facilities in and outside Blantyre City.

“These activities will be carried out during the whole festive season,” he said.
