World Vision supports learners in Mulanje

donated learning materials to primary school learners in Traditional Authority Njema in Mulanje District.

In an interview, World Vision Njema Area Programme development facilitator Khumbo Kamanga said many pupils lost learning materials following Tropical Storm Ana.

“We have donated over 10 000 exercise books and pens to 2 896 learners in seven schools,” he said.

Nanchidwa Primary School deputy head teacher Christopher Ndalama said the donation will encourage the learners to work hard in class.

“Most learners had no exercise books and it was difficult for them to buy new ones,” he said.
