Confidence Voices launched their fourth album Sagwedezeka on Sunday at Glalle Complex in Lilongwe.

The outdoor event attracted choirs and gospel music lovers.

In performance were choirs such as The Great Angels, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Kafita Nursery as well as solo gospel artists like Pacharo Jere and ‘Sir’ Norman Phiri.

Since there were many choirs, some were given limited time to perform.

But despite the director of ceremonies attempts to control things, other choirs did not perform.

On the other hand, the equipment’s technical glitches did not stop the show.

Finally, when Confidence Voices went on stage to launch the album, they played some of the tracks.

Next was auction time which raised K2 million.

In an interview later, Confidence Voices music director Paul Mashati commended other choirs and artists for their support.

“We are deeply honoured to have finally released the album and are grateful to God for this day exceeding our expectations. We extend our gratitude to other choirs for their support,” he said.

Reflecting on the launch, gospel musician ‘Sir’ Norman Phiri commended the choir for the new milestone.

“The launch today is a significant milestone for Confidence Voices, affirming their position as one of the best choirs. We are proud of the gospel the album is about to spread,” he said.

Confidence Voices is a choir under the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Synod of Livingstonia Kasamba Congregation.

Their new album has 13 tracks, including Sagwedezeka, Supindula, Mulena and Ndakhumudwa nawe.
