FAM has urged fans to buy advance entry tickets for tomorrow’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against South Sudan which are cheaper.

The Flames host the Bright Stars of South Sudan at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre in their opening qualifier.

Matola: They are cheaper

FAM commercial and marketing director Limbani Matola said the advance tickets hit the market last Saturday in Blantyre.

Tickets for open stands are selling at K1 500 while on match day the prize will increase to K2 000 while tickets for MBC Stand are going at K2 000 and they will be hiked to K2 500 on match day.

As for Covered Stands, the tickets are selling at K3 000, but will be K1 000 more on match day.

And a seat in the comfort of the VIP enclosure is selling at K6 000, but will cost K8 000 on match day.

“So, we are calling on the fans to buy their tickets in advance so that come the match day, they should not panic,” he said.

Matola also appealed to soccer loving Malawians to go to the stadium and offer their team morale support.

Among other places, the advance tickets are being sold at Chinseu Total and Energem filling stations in Ndirande Township, Total Filling Station near Ndirande Market, Haile Selassie Total Filling Station in Blantyre and Kamuzu Stadium.

Flamboyant fan Yona Malunga said he is mobilising fellow supporters to create an intimidating atmosphere for the South Sudanese.
