FDH Bank plc last week conducted the second draw of its Swipe and Dash Promotion.

The promotion seeks to encourage the bank’s customers to transact through point of sale (PoS) machines when buying goods in selected retail shops.

During the draw, two lucky winners were given the opportunity to buy goods worth K300 000 in Chipiku and Sana shops within one minute.

The other four lucky winners won K60 000 fuel vouchers while four others won K60 000 shopping vouchers.

Speaking in the interview, the bank’s senior manager for digital banking, Yamikani Mbawala, said the promotion has promoted the use of digital products.

He said: “Using digital payments helps the country to spend less in printing banknotes as well as encourage customers not to carry too much cash, which is an easier way of shopping.

“It also affords opportunities for paying for other services which have the bank’s PoS gadgets such as filling stations.”

Mbawala said the promotion is not limited to Malawi Stock Exchange-listed bank’s customers only as other bank users can also join the competition.

To enter the promotion, which runs from August 29 to December 31, customers are required to buy goods of not less than K30 000 using a PoS machine.
