Flavours adds more to the menu

Flavours_menuAfter 7 months being in business, Flavours Restaurant is growing stronger and innovative as it has seen beyond the needs of their clientele and brought one of the scarce wild birds, Zipiyo to their menu.

Fetched around lake Chilwa in Zomba district, the bird is served as desired by the customer, whether with or without Nsima. On top of this, the eating den also provides other delicacies such as pigeons and ducks.

Owner of the place Catherine Mtunga said she thought of adding the Zipiyo to the menu responding to the growing demand of customers who wanted this meal as part of the menu.

“So far we are have a good number of people who come in demand of the chipiyo. The demand is always high when it is available and it doesn’t take time to finish” boosts Mtunga.

For those who can’t take a meal without a glass of wine, Flavours is just the ideal place to eat for it offers a variety of wines to meet the needs of such people.

The introduction of the new menu has not left behind the usual dishes at this place.  Nsima, beans, beef, Matemba, ox-tail, Offals and all kinds of vegetables are still being served in the best way they can as it is their tradition to do so.

Besides the place being convenient with its ever green garden surroundings, their well experienced and polite workers also make the environment homely with their hospitality, cheerfulness and calmness.

It’s not just the meals served at this restaurant which brings people of walks of life to this spacious restaurant, the vegetation and the beautiful relaxing cool breeze is also another factor that pulls people from various places to this spot.

Waiting a long time to be served is a myth at Flavours since by 11am lunch is ready but, kept warm waiting for its clientele to come and have a taste of the mouth sizzling meals.

The eating den opens every day of the week bearing in mind that human beings eat daily. Since its opening in March this year, the place has been busy and occupied with people because of local but internationally cooked dishes.

“If you haven’t had a taste of Flavours then you are missing out the real taste and meaning of delicious, traditionally cooked meals. Our own home made pepper with local ingredients- flavour some chillies will also make a difference” says Mtunga.
