President of the Republic of Malawi, I would leave small tasks, such as the distribution of flour and maize in districts, to traditional leaders and probably government officials.
If I were my good ‘ole mum, I would appreciate that while I stand to gain politically for my gesture, government is spending a lot of resources on my travels at a time when the country is battling a severe economic squeeze.
How I wish I were ‘JB’ because I would appreciate that there are other serious issues that require my immediate attention other than distributing flour and maize to needy people.
If I were Mom, I would realise that such a task is too small for a President who has important things to attend to.
That is if only I were my beloved mum JB. Unfortunately, I just happen to be her ‘son.’
