When head of traffic police in Malawi Mabvuto Mbobo got a call from MultiChoice Malawi while on duty at a presidential function on Wednesday, he thought he had won a decoder. To his surprise, it was K1 million (about $2 777).
Mbobo, an assistant commissioner of police based at police headquarters at Area 30 in Lilongwe, was elated when the digital television service provider awarded him in the DStv promotion.
“The money will help me finish my building project. I am elated,” he said.
Mbobo is the third winner in the promotion for subscribers who pay before the cut-off date.
