Zambia’s Zesco United coach Tenant Chembo has commended the impact Malawian international Luka Milanzi is making since joining the Kitwe-based side on loan.

Milanzi, who is on a one-year loan from Congolese side TP Mazembe, emerged top goalscorer with six goals during an in-house Zesco Managing Director’s Trophy last week in which he featured for Zesco B team dominated by Under-17 and Under-20 players.

“Hard-working and utility Malaiti player Kondwani Mpezeni was named Player of the Tournament whereas Zesco United B midfielder Luka Milanzi emerged the competition’s top goalscorer with six goals. Zesco Victoria Falls goalkeeper Joseph Tembo was voted the tournament’s best goalkeeper,” reads www.zescounitedfc.com

Chembo declared that his side is ready for the 2013 season, saying his team fears no one.

Milanzi is probably the first ever Malawian to play in a Zambian league in recent years.

“We now have mobility and creativity with the coming in of Mwape (Mwelwa), Tom (Bakala), Luka (Milanzi) and Danny (Chama). We can try different combinations to unlock our opponents,” Chembo said.
